I got this song from an CD album given during one of those Power 98 car decal giveaways. I waited till last minute till they gave me the location of the place (Newton Hawker center) which was at 1230pm. I had to reach there by 1pm. I went thru Orchard road lunch time traffic, went round the roundabout, made a U turn after a wrong turn and reached there at 1255pm. But It was worth it cos of the CD, the Maroon 5 t-shirt and snacks they gave me. I like to make this 'adventure - challenge trips' nowadays with my car. The other day when I was going back from Bencoleen Mosque I was ' unofficially' racing with a Toyota Estima driven by a certain lawyer whom I will not mention the name.
After making the turn from Doby Ghout MRT I head towards Bukit Timah road. One of the passenger said, " Turn at Mckenzie Road for a shortcut ..." and I followed my friend's instruction to a 'T'. He was hot my heels but as I turn left towards Bukit Timah I was caught by traffic congestion and he swiftly overtook me on the right lane. He went far ahead and I couldn't see him. Nonetheless I didn't give up. I sped up a little and weave my way thru traffic and I manage to catch up with him and again he overtook me. The turning point was at Jalan Jurong Kecil junction. He flank me by the right road leading to the PIE and I went straight along the 'Al Azhar restaurant road'. As we reach the junction at the Old Fire station we were head to head and I told the other brothers in my car " Oh no... I am not gonna let you win !... " I sped up and was the first to turn left. From then on it was all over. I reached the car park first. I beat a 2.0 MPV woohooo!
