A lot of people who are close to me are depressed or have been depress lately. Being going through that stage I can sort of relate to what they are going through. From my past experience these are the things that help me pull through those difficult times.




  • First of all if you are a spiritual person, always know that God is always there. He will never leave you even if your sins are as much as the bubbles in the sea. I mean no matter what you re doing or have done you must realise that He is still keeping you alive rite? You probably still have food to eat, clothes to wear or at least the air to breathe. Someone up there still loves ya baby.

  • Most likely also you have friends or family who loves you and most probably be there for you if you need them. Go to them. They probably care for you more than you know. Love is all around man. Give it, share it, live it - live for them, your brother, sister, children, father, mother, spouse, friend or whoever close to you. A hug once in while can be very therapeutic.

  • Be positive. Whatever you are going through, you probably get over it. I know this is an old cliche but still " Always look on the bright side of life ". There are people who are probably more troubled than you. Also know life as it is, is always like that. We have highs and downs, happiness and sorrow, love and lost etc. Look beyond the pain and find strength in yourselves or your loved ones ( refer to the point above )

  • Believe in yourself. A lot people may say negative stuff about you to bring you down. You should try to ignore these goons even if they are your close friends/family. Even if you're short, tall, fat, thin, ugly, pretty, pimple faced, dark skinned .... so what? I mean God made the way you are. You should feel good about yourself. A lot people say not so nice things about me too but I try my best to take it constructively and move on.

Well I know these things are easier said then done but hey, no one can help you change the condition you're in now if you dont try to help it yourself first. Now close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax. Live life to the fullest and enjoy. You gotta learn to take it easy once in while you know.
