I like to move it - move it.

Fallen tree near my house

Just finished watching the movies with my wife and colleagues. Its hard to get by without the car. Its still in the workshop rite now. Still while on the bus home me and my partner manage to catch Desperate Housewives on TV mobile. So all is not lost.
Tried to jog yesterday and my timing still sucks. 14min for 2.4km. Now I'm really really unsure to join the marathon again for the 2nd time.
I just can't get that silly Madagascar song from my head ... I like to move it move it - you like to move it move it....

My top Ten Favourite Romance Movies

A wonderful love story

Its hard to believe that I am a hopeless romantic. When I was fifteen I used to write love poems. At that time I didn't have a girlfriend. When I was dating with my wife I did wrote to her an she wrote back. Recently I watched the above mentioned movie and was inspired again to compose. I may publish it here but not yet ... I'll wait for my wife's birthday.

1. Walk to Remember.
This movie is so amazing. I watched it so many times and yet is still touched by Jamie Sulivan's ( Mandy Moore ) plight. The fact that the movie works is that it is romantic without being mushy. What's more is that Langdon Carter ( Shane West ) is so awesomely cool. He is like so sweet that he makes fairy tale princes look like amateurs. That is why its no 1 on my list.

2. Jerry McGuire
'You had me at hello' x2 . I keep on hearing that line over and over again in my head. I watched this while I was dating my wife and it inspired me to do somethings which I would not say in my blog. Anyway this movie sort of helped us to strengthen our relationship .. sort of.

3. Forever Young

A lot of people confused this with Dying Young. This one is the one with Mel Gibson the latter is the one with Julia Roberts. Why this movie had such an emotional impact on me is that Mel was willing to give up everything just to be with his loved one. Kinda like me I guess :-)

4. Pretty Woman

Great soundtrack. Julia Roberts was such a babe at that time .. maybe she still is now. Richard Gere was a perfect gentlemen. I first watched it on video the quality wasn't that good but it still touched my heart and I still feel touched everytime I watched it.

5. City of Angels

l love Meg Ryan. She is so cute. I also love movie about angels and demons and all those mythical stuff plus I love romance movies. And so since this movie combines both - that why I love it.

6. Sleepless in Seattle.

Another Meg Ryan movie. The touching part was when Tom Hanks talked about his deceased wife. It was like despite the fact that she was gone and he was still in love with her. Remind me of someone.

7. Indecent proposal.

The controversial Demi Moore movie. I thought she was very hot in this movie. I like this better than Ghost. I felt that what makes this movie interesting is Robert Redford is so charming despite being so old. Woody was also cool because he was willing to give up everything for his true love.

8. Splash

The old school romance comedy movie. Darryl Hannah debut leading role I think. I think I watched this movie a few times when I was a kid cos not only it is funny but it was quite touching also.

9. Ice Castles.

This is super old school. This was during the time sentimental songs from Melissa Manchester, Bee Gees and Billy Joel were very popular. Its about this girl who was an ice skating champion who left everything behind including the boy she loved to pursue her dream but then something happened .. what it is you have to watch to find
out.

10. The little Mermaid

Kinda childish but I like it. I think Disney portrayal of Ariel was superb. She is cute, funny and pretty. A girl who was willing to do anything for the man she loved.

Johor Trip Episode III - Revenge of Suzy

Even the Lego Star Wars game is better than the movie...

My mind still groggy after only having 4 hours of sleep. Had breakfast with my wifey who is forever going out and now I'm back. Went to Johor again the third time with my colleagues. The group keep getting bigger and bigger . The first trip started with 5 people and the second - 6 but yesterday a massive no of ten people fit into a Honda Odyssey. But it was all good fun. I, having driven through Johor for the first time and with a great car mind you, had doubt about security at first .One cos we are bringing female colleagues and two I was afraid that the MPV might get stolen. But everything turned out ok. We even took pictures. However the daunting task of sending everyone back was quite an experience and when I finally settle down with my wifey it was already 3am.
Back at home I'm playing Revenge of The Sith PS2 game which is not as horrible as the reviews said it would be. But the movie was a disappointment. Still one day Im gonna get all the 1-6 dvds and restore order to the galaxy.

What a week..

2005 Big Walk

For a second time in a row I went to the big walk with a bunch of girls. The first time was last year cos there were no guys going but this time all the guys backed out- so its not my fault. My wife didn't complain so that is that. We cracked jokes, made fun of each other and enjoyed ourselves despite the fact that it was frigging hot. I had a chance to show off my Harley Davidson sunglasses as well. However I did feel tired and sleepy after watching Man Utd lost to Arsenal on penalties the night before - FA cup match.
Yesterday my wife had her first accident - a car bumped into her and made a lump on my in-law's car. My father-in-law flipped despite the fact that the insurance company can cover it. This morning I poured hot water on myself and my hand still burns. My colleague sort of locked himself out of a room in the house and my other clown of a colleague lost and found his motorcycle. Like I said - what a week.

Last day Battle...

New era for Chelsea

Yup Chelsea won and Man utd came in 3rd ... they have not gone down lower than third and lets hope they keep it that way. But what was interesting was the battle today where 4 teams were fighting for their lives in order to stay in the Priemiership namely, Norwich, Southampton, West Bromich and Crystal Palace.
Saints played Man u and boy did they play as if their lives depended on it. First blood went to them as O Shea scored an own goal. However he redeemed himself by giving a beautiful cross to Fletcher who converted the equalizer. After a brilliant first half, the Saints lost steam and Van the man won the match by scoring from an Alan Smith cross. In the end it was West Bromich who were safe and they celebrated like as if they won the FA cup.

Mind is willing but the body is weak...

My body is still aching after the tennis session yesterday and after all the moving of cages and boxes. Am I unfit or getting old? Well pick one. I am so weak that I don't feel like going to the mosque but I have to. I have to force myself cos last month I hardly read the quran so I must increase my spiritual efforts.

The 2 Pools

Pool anyone?
I've been playing a lot of pool lately. I've also invited some friends to play with me who also have become addicted. The fact is I've just started to learn this year and same goes with some of my friends whom I thought. Meanwhile I've been going swimming too at Bukit Batok swimming pool. The great thing about it is that they have a jacuzzi thingie in the pool that blows bubbles to your butt. It is a good massage for my backside.

The fall.

If you fall from a tree you can climb back again but if you fall from a tree and into a deep deep deep hole , its gonna be difficult to get back to the tree. That is what happen to my friend.
hH called me yesterday after 6 years of absence and he said that he is financial difficulty and need to pay back $25000 within 6 months. I myself have my own problems so obviously I couldn't help him. Sad to say that this what what probably happens when you lose sight of the path that you are heading. This whole world is an illusion and as a Muslim one should believe that the real living is in the hereafter. It is so ironic that he was one of those who showed me the right path towards enlightenment yet now he is the one who is in trouble. It just like the fish swimming against the current once they stop swimming they will swept away by the current. But if the fish continue swimming no matter how slow it wouldn't be swept away. That is why I must continue going to the mosque reading the quran and doing all the amals so that I wouldn't be swept away.
