Empire Theme

My company just finished its DnD last Friday. The theme was ' Flight of Fantasy '. I had some info of shops that rented out costumes so I checked them out. The first shop I went was at Orchard. It was like some ulu shopping centre. The first thing that I noticed that it had a lot of massage parlor's with women standing outside wearing skimpy clothes. I tried to find the shop but it was not there and I quickly ran out of the place when I realized that it was 'one of those places'. The women was offering 'free massages'.
The one that was highly recommended was somewhere in Bugis. It had a replica of the Batmoblie outside. I wanted to rent a Jedi costume but it was too expensive so I came as the figure above. When I reached the Hotel I looked for the toilet and started to put on my costume. As it took a while I was quite late when I reached the ballroom. I was wearing the black helmet so I could hardly see. I went out again and asked for directions to my table. I had to wait outside for a while for the VIP to make its speech and declare the dinner open. I was quite nervous actually but since Im wearing the helmet, no one can see my expression. When I came in everybody cheered and to my surprise they played the 'Star Wars' theme almost on cue. I played my part and took out my red light saber. Many of my colleague wanted to pictures with me and I had to come on stage several times. My company won several team competitions and I am very happy that they cheered me on for the best dressed competition. I won the 1st prize beating some 'big shots' including my ex director. I obviously had a memorable night that I would cherish for many years.
