$1 trolley

I went to Carefour the other day. As usual my wife wants to spend my money ... things you do for love ... anyway we parked our trolley inside the department store at the plastic furniture section. There were some unpaid goods inside . We then went to make some enquires about some products we like to purchase. 1 or 2 minutes later when we went back to our trolley we realized it was gone . We went to look for it and then realized that the goods are placed aside but the trolley was gone. Like man! There were so many trolleys outside and yet this idiot either too cheap to pay the $1 for the trolley or too lazy to take one . Can you believe that? Some people are just too much!

Wild Orchid

It was a hot Saturday morning yesterday. I was a little bit happy and a little bit sad. Happy because I get a chance to book out but sad because I can probably book out only in the evening. Anyway we were doing a recce at the training ground when I suddenly saw a bunch of wild orchids that sprouted out in an open terrain. It was like a mirage . I probably feel the same way as Sgt Joyce when he wrote the poem '... I think I have never seen , a poem as lovely a tree ... '. Despite protest from my trainer , I took some home. I bought a $1 flower pot and some charcoal and started my 'experiment'. There are 2 shoots, one is quite yellowish and the other looks healthy. We shall see which one will survive.

back in green

...the thing is about reservist is that when you going there it aint fun at all but when you are there and you are with your resrvist mates you catch up, crack jokes and share stories with each other.. it aint that bad at all . Thats what I did the first day back in camp today - its good to see your friends again, some of whom I have not seen for more than 10 years..

I want my .... I want my .. M16

It took me about an hour or two to pack but now I'm all set and ready to go. My pants don't fit though which could mean ... yes .. I put on weight. How am I gonna pass my IPPT? Spend my Sunday with my wife . I watched a hindi movie with her and she said '.... suprise surprise you are watching a hindi movie!!!'. It was a thriller.. and funny thing is, unlike most of them, it didn't have any song or dance scene. Karisma Kapoor is such a babe. Anyway I predicted who the killer was(correctly) and took a nap ...I didn't even bother to watch the ending.

Spore a step closer to Tiger Cup!!!!

I can't believe it but its true... Indonesia beaten 3-1 at home. Some might say luck is on Spore side with Boa injured and Indon down to ten men but I think you should still give credit to Spore especially the defense. Indon somehow fall apart in the 2nd half .. I mean where is the Indon that defeated Mas 4-1? .. Spore shouldn't let one goal in last minute but that goal makes the return leg interesting. Anyway hopefully all goes well for my reservist and I am able to watch the match at national stadium on the 16th.

Failure is a step to success..

At least that is what this teacher or someone said . That was a long time ago. I read about it in an article when I was taking my A-levels for the upteenth time. My wife failed her driving test again . I took quite sometime consoling her although she never cried . I know what it feels like cos I took the test and failed twice.

Presents...

I gave presents to 5 of my female colleagues today in appreciation of their help they have shown me throught the years. My wife know about it and she didn't mind. Some of them are going to go different departments so for some it might seem as a farewell gift. A lot of them are taken by suprise. One even said that she didn't know that I could be so sweet... ' that's why my wife married me ' I told her.

Cold morning..

I'm waking up early today at 4am to watch the Man U vs Spurs game. My dad came over to sleepover for a few days . So far everything is going well and me and my wife manage to accomodate him. I hope and I pray that the rift between him and my mum will heal up.

Six year wait is over....

Its been a six year wait ... finally they are into the finals of the Tiger cup again. I came back from the stadium yesterday happy and relieved. Singapore didnt look convincing in the first half and a lot of the fans, myself included, were unsure that they could win. When Mynmar scored the 2nd goal I thought it was game over but after the the sending off in the 2nd half, as they say in the Tigercup website, 'Mynmar self-destruct'. It was one sided affair actually when the lions pulled one back and Mynamar were reduced to 8 men. It became a goal festival for Singapore (Spore 4 -Mynmar2 FT). Nonetheless I'm proud of the Lions. Now its time to win the final and retain back the cup. Go Lions Go!!!!!

Raining again

Gloomy weather today .. hopefully everything clear before Singapore game against Myanmar. Slept late again yesterday after watching a victorious Man U match against Boro. I'm hoping that they win the title but what with Chelsea still ahead with 9 points and propably with 20 odd games left I think its gonna be difficult.

Starting with a Bang!

Wow ! My first online diary. And starting it in the New Year.
Not much happen to me today save for the fact that I went back to sleep and waking up again at 1pm. The morning totally gone... starting to run for my IPPT .. timing sucks at 13min 36 sec . How am I gonna pass? To think that I just ran the marathon last month..
