Lost in may ways.

My fav series now...

I had just finish watching the last episode of 'Lost' a few weeks ago with my wife. Great tv show. Cant wait for the next season.
I had just came back from lunch from Samys Curry and I feel so bloated. I also feel so sleepy because yesterday I didn't sleep well - my wife went to my mother-in-law's house to look after her. She has been vomiting perpetually for the past few days.
I wanted to watch soccer - Denmark vs England ( friendly ) this morning 1am but felt too tired and went to sleep. Thank God I didn't watch - England lost 4-1.

Resemblance

Willy Wonka = Michael Jackson?

When I watched 'Charlie and the chocolate factory' the other day, my wife said to me ' Doesn't he(Willy Wonka) remind you of Michael Jackson?'. I looked at the character played by Johnny Depp and I thought that she was right. The way he talked, the outlandish clothes, the giggle, the eerie whitish fairness of his skin and his overall weirdness all equates to the wacko. What more, Willy Wonka actually let children into his fantastic factory(neverland). Maybe Tim Burton trying to make fun of him or maybe its just a coincidence.

40 and the Great Sandal Exchange phenomenon

Singapore is 40 today...

Going to the parade today. That means I am going 3 years in the running. Actually this year I didn't get the tix but my best fren did and he is bringing me along.
A few months ago I put my sandal outside the house in the shoe rack and didn't bring it in. The next day I found that someone took it and replaced it with another. Strange but it did happen. The one that he, she, it, whoever gave me was quite good actually. I wore it until one day this kid lost his slippers in the mosque and I passed the sandals to him. I went home barefooted that night. I bought a new one and recently and I forgot to put it inside and again it was replaced. Who is it that is doing this? A kid? A man? A nut? Maybe I will never know.

&$#@ happens!!!

Normally I would drive carefully ..signal check blind spot and stuff. On this particular Friday I think I was fated to get into an accident that would cause me $1600.
It was Friday and I was returning from Friday Prayers to my office. Going overToh Tuck Ave and traveling at only 40km/hr downslope I saw a Taxi stop at amber light. I decided to stop also but somehow didn't break hard enough which was quite rare actually but it happen this time. The car slammed into the rear end of the the bumper of my in-law car cave in. When the dust settles in and insurance company informed, I was told I couldn't claim insurance cos I'm not a 2 year old driver and we gotto fork out the above mentioned amount for the repairs. Man just when I thought I could save money.

M hotel

Jacuzzi anyone?

I have a total of 7 credit cards. I hardly use some of them. One in particular, Standard Charted Visa has a perk that enables me to use the swimming pool at M hotel for free. I have never use the privilege until last Saturday.
I had to go for an injection, a tetanus jab and the doctor poke me as if he was throwing a dart onto a dartboard. After the interesting experience I decided to go for tea with my colleague at KTM. Then I head down to the hotel.
The pool wasn't so big but it was like kinda cozy. The best part was the jaccuzzi feature which I almost didn't wanna get out off.

Racial Harmony

The mosque I usually go to every Friday..

As I went to park my in-laws car by the side of the road and went to the Anggullia mosque on Thursday evening everything went on as per normal. After doing my prayers and breaking fast I listen to the sermon. Around 840pm as I sat down and waited for prayer call I saw a bunch of Muslim brothers gathering by the side gate looking outside. 'Is there a fight?', I asked 'No, vehicles are getting fined', a brother replied. I got up and rushed to see and more or less I knew that I'm done for. After the prayers Muslim brothers gathered around the policemen arguing their case. Since I was one of them , I took my fine and joined them. Soon a large crowd develop around the men in blue. I agreed with what some of the brothers said that yes, they were doing their job but they could have the decency to go into the mosque and tell the Muslim brothers to move their vehicle instead of fining everyone of them. I mean we are doing our prayers for godsake where is the love man?
