Home

Song by Michael Buble

My stomach still hurts from the diarrhoea that I have. Most probably its the food my wifey bought from the Ramadhan bazaar. She got it too . Worse than me in fact.
We are about halfway thru Ramadhan and as for me ... well I'm doing ok. The great part about the fasting months is that you don't have to worry about food. I mean you just get up and go to work and nap during lunch time ( for me that is ) then go back home. Not only that, I read somewhere that it actually detoxify your body. You feel lighter and healthier too. Some non Muslims think that we suffer during this period but the truth is, its a splendid and unique form of worship.
This time around I'm trying my best to finish the Quran before Syawal. I got about less than 100 pages to go. Well, Insyallah, hopefully I make it this time.

What time is it?

Song from High School Musical 2

I went back yesterday and had my dinner in front of the TV. After I did my evening prayers I looked up at the clock and told myself that its still quite early. I went to the bedroom and saw my wife watching TV. " Okay I got a few more minutes ... can we cuddle?". She fluffed the pillow beside her and I lay myself down and hold her as she watch her Chinese drama.
When I finally got out from the house, it was almost Isyak prayers. I hurried to the mosque and as usual, the first night of Ramadhan is jam packed with people. I made my way to the 3rd floor and joined the prayers which started a few minutes after I reached. I wanted to do only 8 rakaat but Alhamdulillah I managed to do all 20.
Today is the first day of fasting. Despite the fact I missed the late supper ( sahur ) I'm still happy. Why? Cos I just found out this morning I won the Car Decal Giveaway contest, Woohoo!

September

Song by Earth Wind & Fire

I woke up and did my prayers. I made a special prayer to pass my test. It was my mistake to drink milk. I didn't know my stomach was giving me problems and I found out after drinking the milk. I went to the toilet again. Before going off I kiss my wife who was still sleeping. I gave her a good hug and she said to me " Don't exert yourself".

It was about 10 minutes drive from my place to the IPPT area. I parked my car at a designated area and proceeded for my in processing. There were quite a number of people there despite the fact that its quite early in the morning which was about 730am. The static stations were are all electronic as I expected. We had a choice to pick which ever station to go first and I chose the 'pull up' first. I managed about 4 which was 2 points - good enough for bronze I guess. I did the other stations and chalked up enough points to qualify for the monetary bronze, that is if I get my 2.4km below 13min.

When I started running I did not feel good. My stomach was still twisting and turning. I paced myself and manage 3.55min in the first lap. "Not bad", I thought. If I can manage that kind of timing for the next 2 laps I can still get my money. For the next lap I did about 810min. I was on my way baby! I wanted to start running fast but then I told myself to startegize. I only opened up when I reached the incline which was about 11.30min at that time. " Use the downhill slope as an advantage ", was what the PTI said. I followed the words to a 'T'. I sprinted to the finishing point and look up at the electronic scoreboard ....... 12.28min! Yes! I did it! All my hard work for the past 1 and half months paid off. Alhamdulillah, thank God. I went to buy Nasi Lemak from Adam road for my wife after that. I probably use the money to buy her something nice.
