The Oink has landed

I was alone in the washroom of the facility wondering 'Where the heck did everyone go?'So I minded my own business, played with my handphone and waited for the wash and still there was no one around. Minutes passed and then I decided to call my colleague who told me that everyone was watching the 'show'. The pigs was arriving at the loading bay and they were watching it at the closed circuit monitors. When I went there, there wasn't much to see actually. It wasn't till the next day that I got to see them . Some say they are cute .... I don't know being Muslims not that I am against any pigs cos they are God's creatures too but I won't call them cute. Smelly perhaps but not cute.

Hello Kitty Craze

7-11 Hello Kitty magnets

A few years a go when you go Mc Donald's and you buy a value meal you are entitled to buy a Hello Kitty plush doll. There were different ones to collect each week . That started a frenzied craze that made Hello Kitty fans queuing up at Mc Donald's overnight just to get the toy. I was one of those nimwit who started queuing at 5am to get the stuff. But I did for love..my wife then my girlfriend wanted one so I did it naturally .
Now, this year, 7eleven is having a promotion, buy $5 worth of goods and you get a Hello Kitty magnet. However the craze is now a low keyed one. Nonetheless when you go to Yahoo! auction website there over 200 people who are trying to exchange or sell of their magnets. I'm one of them too. There are 31 altogether and I have 5 left to go . Thank God this time I don't have to queue up in the wee hours in the morning. But to get the magnets me and my wify bought milk from 7eleven every 2 or 3 days and I have never drank so much milk in this 2 months in my life before.

Prophet's Birthday

Today 12 Rabiulawal 1426 is the Prophet Muhamad's ( peace and blessing upon him ) birthday. Some mosques celebrated by special prayers and such. But I think as I heard recently in the sermon that the best way to commemorate the special occasion is trying one's best to fulfill his dream. What was his dream, to bring everyone to paradise.

life is one big jigsaw puzzle...

My wife bought this beautiful 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. It's Disney 'Beauty & the Beast' with pictures of belle, the beast, the candle man .. you get the picture. It took her several days to finish it . I was quite amazed at her speed actually ... I mean, I thought it would take her a month . Anyway she got all the pieces together except 1. Yup one piece was missing . Both of us searched and searched and searched but we couldn't find it. I then got a thought that maybe it is in the vacuum bag ... maybe I sucked it in. So yesterday I dismantle the vacuum and took out the bag. I had dust on my hand, my face and it my nose. The vacuum bag got torn in the process. I got frustrated cos not only did I not find it but I had to sweep the floor now and I also have to buy a new bag .. money again. But what happened was that while I was sweeping under the sofa I swept out something and yes.. it was the final piece of the puzzle. If I hadn't used the broom maybe I wouldn't have found it . All my frustrations turn to joy and my wife was delighted of course.
I was thinking that maybe this whole life is one big jigsaw puzzle. We are putting it together piece by piece .. maybe sometimes there are pieces missing but its all in God's plan that maybe we are not ready for that missing parts yet but if we have faith one day we will get our final piece and then all our sadness will go away and we will find happiness.

Bad nite ...

Such is life...one moment you're up the next moment you're down. Last Saturday things were turning up fine for me save for the fact that I didn't get a good nite sleep the nite before cos of .... anyway it didn't turn up that bad for me in the afternoon . I was playing tennis with my frens and having fun while my wify goes out with her frens as usual but then in the evening we went for pizza. That is when it all happened.
My fren got an emergency call to go back to work and since we are all colleagues of course we had to go back too. One of the water pipes burst and the floor of the facilty was flooded- think Titanic. We spent one hour moping 'jamban juice'. My wife reluctantly drove me home and she was pissed and we had a fight ... I ended the conversation by slamming the door. Worse of it was Man utd lost to Norwich and I got insomnia.
However as the day passed I made up with my wife and got over the Man u lost. And I just found out recently that I got 1 day off for coming back woo hoo! Every cloud has a silver lining...

Toilet wars..

My wife has this habit of going to the toilet in the masterbedroom just when I am about to bath. The other day I had my Spongebob towel and all set to go when suddenly she zoomed in pass me and said that she had to go and went in. Exasperated as usual I shouted at her" Do you realized that there are TWO toilets in the HOUSE!!!" She ignored me, squatted and did her no 1. I retaliated by taking off my towel and scratching my ass in front of her face. She quickly squirted a jet of cold water at my butt. I jumped as the icy cold water hit my skin. I was about to strike back with the shower in my hand but when I turned .. she disappeared. Hmm I guessed these are the things you looked forward to in marriage- having someone too fool around with.

Cycling trip

The route I took to my sis-in-law's house

I had a cycling trip on Sunday 3rd of March. The route wasn't that far .. from my house in Bukit Batok to my sis-in-law's house in Toh Guan. My wife found it tiring though ( look at how unfit she is he he ).
I remembered how I had a cycled at one time a distance around Singapore on the same bicycle. It was an event organised by Yu Hua CC a few years ago. It rained at some point during that trip and I was fully drenched. Yup, me and the bike goes back a long long way baby. To think it I won it during a lucky draw. That bike is really something.

Nurhana

New additon ...

Nurhana was born on 27th March 2005. She is the latest addition to my extended family. Her mother, my sister-in-law was overwhelmed with joy that she finally delivered. Which brings to the inevitable question ... when is mine coming? Soon I hope Insyallah
