Talking Italian

Above is the title of a Bananarama song. I don't know what happen to them ... the 80's is like so far away.
Anyway,my company had a bowling tournament on Friday. I did ok I guess but I don't think I won any prizes. They have not tabulated the score yet but my team of 4 had a score of 403 on the first frame and 447 on the 2nd. Not bad but not as good as some other teams. We had fun though and I guess thats whats important.
I helped my wife make Lasagna and Cheesecake on Sunday. It turned out pretty well though I don't like helping my wife cos she can be very bossy sometimes - hehe. Nonetheless we had fun and I ate lasagna until I was sick of cheese.
I watched Man U vs Liverpool at midnight. My team didn't do well and as a matter of fact in the first half they didn't have a single shot on goal. They played better in the 2nd half although Liverpool had them under siege at times however the ending of the match was a sensational one. On the 90th minute Man U won a free kick and Giggs curled the ball into the penalty area. Rio Ferdinand headed the ball sweetly to the top right hand corner of the net. I was jumping up and down with ecstasy at 2am in the morning.

Knocking on heaven's door

Ever since my friend went public about his terminal disease, I've been thinking about what would happen if anything happen to me. Hmmm I don't know whether my frens would cry or not and ... well lets not go there.
The second attempt to grow my Pandan has not been good. Seems like its gonna go to heaven like the first one. Maybe my hands are not green enough.
I'm moving a lot of boxes and stuff at my workplace. Hundreds of them. My colleagues are helping me so it's ok. However, a few days ago I had 'too much help'. I was climbing up to get the boxes on the top level and was having a slight difficulty. One of my male colleague, sensing that I need that extra push actually grabbed hold of my buttocks, squeeze it and push me up. " Hey! What the &*#$ are ya doing?". Man, I felt like I've just been molested.

Sacrifice

146 sheep was suppose to be sacrificed last week during Eid Adha, 1 died so we sacrificed 145 at Bukit Batok Mosque. Somehow we manage to finish everything by zuhr. Most probably cos we have a lot of volunteers. I manage to help this year- I didn't help last year cos I was on reservist. I ended up with some minor scars on my hand but it was well worth it cos I always had fun helping out the qurban. What's more I get to eat freshly sacrificed cooked lamb meat.
I went to watch a free movie at my workplace with 2 of my favourite colleagues. We played table tennis before that with some others and I finally won 1 game. It was against a lesser opponent though and I still have not beat my main rival. I had dinner with them at the koi garden and it was quite nice eating against a backdrop of a small park-like atmosphere. Kinda wish my wife was there with me.
I finally wore the Man U jersey - Man U won 5-0 woo hoo! I've been waiting to wear that present and told my colleagues that I would it when Man Utd wins. They have been playing badly this past few weeks and watching them win again this morning was simply wonderful.

All is quiet on New Year's day.

Wow its been a year since I first started my blog. A year of ups and down. Hopefully this year there will be a lot more ups.
I realized that among my colleagues, I am probably among the worst at table tennis. I suck big time. I actually organized a table tennis get together last Friday. Only the guys turn up and all of them beat me. I also lost, twice, when I partnered with my boss but he told me I will still get my bonus so thats ok.
I am actually working out a lot. Trying to stay fit for a lot of reasons. One, is that maybe I will try for the marathon again this year. I skipped it last year. Also there is new gym at my workplace and fitness centre at my block. So I can't have any excuse can I?
My colleagues bought for me some cool stuff for my birthday, a Man U jersey,an original PS2 game and sneaker balls. I thought they forgot but they didn't and its great that they still remember me.
